Hoppy's Place - Santa Ana

This is the first micro brewery I’ve been to in Costa Rica. It’s amazing one of the best tasting stouts I’ve ever had. “Black Magic” so yummy.

I love Hoppy's Place!!! A brewery gastropub that is really doing things right. The owners, Nathalia and Sancho, have put their hearts into this place and it shows. They have a great selection of craft beer and mead. Great food my recommendation is try one of their burgers. Very cozy atmosphere. Looking forward to my next visit.

Great variety and types of draft beers...brews...and food.... Alberto the owner and wife are pleasant..always smiling and trigger happy to serve or to fill you up with knowledge about beer producing and there beer production..... Nice set up..the bar..the restaurant....always excellent 80s music... Highley recommended...

We had an excellent time at Hoppy's. They offer a wide variety of their own beers and a full menu of delicious food. The potatoes were especially tasty. The owner was present and made extra effort to ensure we had a pleasant experience. He was very friendly and generous with his time.

Hoppy's is one of my favorite restaurants in the Central Valley. It is easily one of the top three burger spots in Costa Rica. The quality of all the meats, including the slow-smoked options, is excellent. The mini potatoes with homemade alioli are delicious. If you enjoy beer, this is a true brewery with beautifully crafted options that are never pasteurized or compromised in any way. The cocktails are also outstanding, comparable to the best speakeasies in San Jose. The chicken breast with homemade buffalo sauce is a standout dish. I recommend grabbing a seat outside on the terrace.
