When walking in for lunch we were being asked if we had a reservation. The restaurant did not look very busy. We did not but it still took a while for them to find a table outside! During our entire meal there were 4 or 5 empty tables. The food was extremely disappointing where the tagliatelle with tomato sauce was dry and only tasty thanks to the Parmesan cheese. The risotto con funghi was terrible where the mushrooms were cooked with stock jello where part of it was still undisolved in the mushrooms.
This restaurant is in a great position, immediately opposite the church. The menu outside was a little underwhelming but despite the indifferent service, we really enjoyed the food here (once we had worked out what it was they don't speak English or have a non Italian menu. My polenta and deer stew was tasty and really enjoyable, and really filled me up well for a day travelling.
Molto turistico e poco tipico. Porzioni abbondanti prezzi onesti
