We went there with an accident, as we were walking around the village to visit two years ago. Actually, eating was so good that I'm writing the review now, as we're talking about it two years later. we use it to compare any other restaurant menu we go to, and we always say "not as good as santa pau". we have paid something like euro that is a little more than they expect to pay for a “menu del dia” funny enough after we were done and we saw what the deal was, we thought it would be the best spent money at all. really, if I would die the next day and only euro in my bank, would I drive there wein? very good and a whole bottle for two. views? clear cavok day and super (we sat outside). service? the owners told us they were new and simply took over; super friendly. super tasty, worked up with a great amount. is it? my girlfriend has a picture of the coulant as a screensaver for the next two months. Eat was super nice, I got the lamb and my friend got the goat cheese salad. spectacular we have also tried the fesolets de santa pau with a twist of eiern. brutal it was a past and we didn't have the opportunity to come back, but if there's something close to what we had, we recommend it sincerely!
Great menu/food. fantastic service and delicious Spanish cuisine! worth for money! good to do!
Very good meal well prepared and also presented with vegetarian options. attentive service and very good value for money.
Dinner at Can Daina was an amazing experience. It's a very charming place run by two very charming men who make some of the best Catalonian cuisine I've had anywhere. Every dish from the escudella to grilled vegetables to rabbit was delicious and rewarding. My favorite touch, however, was a slight deviation from Catalan tradition by using some home made salsa picante on the bombas, made from Thai chilies I can't say enough good things about Can Daina. But to add just a bit, the restaurant is one of the most pretty buildings in a hidden gem of a medieval town, Santa Pau. The area, Garrotxa, Is full of really nice hikes of varying lengths around volcanic craters. The food and ambiance of Can Daina fit perfectly with the physical geography.
