I'm a big fan of the Grilled Chicken Gourmet Tacos and The Original Fish Tacos. Today, I decided to try the California Burrito at Rubio's, but unfortunately, it didn't stand out to me. I'm giving it four stars because the chips always taste stale, as if they're from yesterday's batch. If I order a side of chips, I expect them to be fresher. The salsa bar was closed, so I had to pay $1.00 for pico de gallo. The location in Santee has a nice terrace with plenty of outdoor seating. I did notice that some of the staff behind the counter weren't wearing aprons or name tags, which felt a bit odd. Overall, the restaurant appears clean and welcoming. I will definitely return, especially since this is my first visit since the pandemic.
I had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant! The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. The service was quick and very friendly, which made the experience even better. I also appreciated the variety of non-soda drink options. I particularly enjoyed mixing the unsweetened mango tea with lemonade, and they also have agua fresca and unsweetened black tea available. Overall, a great place to eat!
Omar was amazing! He was incredibly friendly and provided excellent customer service. We used to visit on Tuesdays regularly but noticed a decline in cleanliness and service. We decided to give it another try, and we were pleased with the improvements. The food was just as delicious as ever! The tables were clean and not sticky, and there were no gnats around the salsa and soda area. It's great to see these improvements! The staff was friendly, and the menu options were delightful.
