Located on a side street in an upscale neighborhood. Very good service and they speak English. A very nice and unusual menu. I opted for the deer instead of the wild boar. It came with zucchini tower au gratin, very good. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich which she thoroughly enjoyed. I definitely would recommend Sur Patagonico.
In this area of the city you’re spoilt for choice with places to eat, but on a warm evening I’m always drawn to somewhere you can sit outside, especially on the street to watch the world go by. So here stood out and although it was fairly quiet when I arrived it quickly started to fill, and understandably so. The menu is large but it’s easy to find what you’re interested in. Bread was provided as an appetiser and my drinks were initially brought quickly. The mixed meat starter was huge, almost a whole meal in itself if you’re wanting something lighter, but totally delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly and really tasty. Presentation was probably a little basic but given the flavour I quickly forgot. For main I settled on the lamb chops with lentils. Again this was a really sizeable dish and there was no chance I was going to need desert. It was cooked well and the mustard sauce went really well. The friendly staff returned pleasantly and obtaining additional drinks was easy. It was a nice setting, with the outdoor tables being a good size and a well decorated window display, giving an authentic feel. Plenty to look at being sat on the road and it was a really relaxing environment. It was decent value for money for the food served and one of the more enjoyable meals I had in the city.
Lovely southern Chile style food. Nice ambiance and friendly staff. Would have been 5 except for a few things we wanted on the menu were not avaliable. We will have to go back and try them so we can push it up to 5 stars.
