I came out of this place thinking: wait, they can do that with chocolate? Great learning experience. Worth the visit even if you are not planning on buying anything.
We did the full chocolate experience. Our leader Raudy has done an excellent job and is a super nice guy! The expression from bean to bar is a bit ambiguous what she really is doing, leave 100%chocolate suitable for chocolate milk and then give liquid chocolate that is already made with which you can prepare the bar. One step has jumped. This is because the process for producing white or brown chocolate from 100% chocolate is more involved. However, they explain this process very well so that the entire experience is still very complete. You will also get as much to taste as you want in every phase and keep both chocolate for milk and bar. It was super interesting and I would recommend it to anyone who likes Cacao.
Very recommended, we made the 2 hours tour and it was a very unusual and educational thing to do. We had our 1 year old baby with us and the guide really got him into the process of roasting, cooling and peeling of beans with his small cooking hat and apron! He loved it! We learned a lot about the processing of Cacao and ended up making our own delicious chocolate bars home (Mine was dark chocolate with coffee and coconut and it was sooo good). This is a place you can easily miss when you go by, but it is really worth stopping for the tour!
My family took the two hours. I learned a lot about the history of chocolate and how it is done. We tasted cocoa in many forms that come from different cultures. My family and I had an explosion. I ate so much chocolate that was a sensory pleasure. Chocolate is not easy to make by hand!
