I was here with a party of nine, unannounced, near lunch closing time, on a Sunday. We were well received by a seasoned waiter who was friendly and very efficient. There was also a young gentleman on his second day on the job, who in turn, was friendly and tried to do his best, even if sometimes a bit lost . We were told that because it was already late and we were many and unannounced all they could serve was roasted veal, in the fashion of that region,otherwise known as Lafões Veal . It 's slow roasted flank (I think this is the correct name for the cut) served over oven roasted potatoes, a nice rice and salada and boiled kale on the side. The meat was very good, well seasoned, the potatoes on point and the rice was stupendous. They brought 4 and a hlaf portions for 9 people and that was more than enough food, we didn 't eat all of it. The house wine is recommendable. All in all a very good meal, I 'm sure to come back next time I 'll be on the area
Nice atmosphere and helpful staff. Very good meat and nice white wine. The prices are good and the portions are large. We had one portion and we didn't finish it even though we were two adults and and one 2 year old sharing.
Very good food and pleasant atmosphere, the service is a complete disaster they ignore the customers and are extremely slow, about 01:30H of waiting for a dish of the day, after another hour of waiting for a table in a completely empty room with several tables per rise. I returned to São Pedro do Sul this weekend and was delighted to find my favourite restaurant had re-opened after the tragic loss of their Maria. The place was busy but I received a friendly welcome and was seated right away. My server surprised me with his English and I went with his recommendations. I was not disappointed. Service was prompt and I had three courses including the veal and these nice little steak and cheese breads. Café and dessert were excellent. Including my drinks this all came to just £35! I was so satisfied. I look forward to many more enjoyable meals at O Campones! Thank you : Peter
