I recently had the pleasure of staying at Good Hotel, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped in, the warm and welcoming staff made me feel right at home. Visited this place today after reviews from a Facebook group called 'Where Madurai Eats ' (note that this group is called Eats, not eat) Surprisingly all tables were full with family crowd as well. We got a table within 5 minutes. Server was courteous and suggested us what to eat. We wanted to try the parotta varieties and skipped the meals. Both vegetarian mushroom gravy, non-veg gray (mutton), and egg mutton valisal were tasty. Tad expensive (Rs. 600 for two people) but worth the experience. Mushroom gravy had right amount of spices, might be little spicy for kids though. Opposite to this hotel is a place where 4-5 cars can be parked but could get busier at peak time. There is a pan shop at the entrance, Rs. 20 for sweet beeda.

Poricha parotta with mutton nalli was top notch but expensive. Felt that this restaurant is expensive than many good restaurants in Chennai. At last they gave a complimentary payasam and said it was prepared with pure cow milk from their own farm which was outstanding. Must try!
