White's - Scarborough

I made a reservation at this restaurant, only to find out upon arriving at the associated hotel that it was no longer functioning. I was disappointed to learn this, especially after having already paid a deposit.

The B and B recently changed ownership, and the restaurant now exclusively serves breakfast for guests. This is a fantastic reason to stay overnight, as the breakfast here is delightful! Enjoy fresh fruit, cereals, 'English' dishes made with local ingredients, and options like kippers or haddock from Whitby.

We opted for the 3-course meal included in our overnight stay and we were delighted with our choice. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were attentive and overall it was a great experience. Our only regret is that we only stayed for one night and didn't have the chance to try more of the delicious offerings.

Have eaten here on a sunday twice,lovely atmosphere,friendly staff.Lovely to be able to sit on the terrace and enjoy a drink before lunch.food well cooked and large portions.Just a couple of little gripes,vegetables not very exciting how about creamed leeks, parsnips and cauliflower with white sauce just a thought.Also only 3 sweets on menu none which really took my fancy but decided to try the blueberry cheesecake only to be told when I tried to order it they didnt have any! find that a bit unacceptable.Still will give it another try.

I have eaten twice at whites restaurant. This is a gem of a place. Fantastic food, very reasonably priced. service excellent, relaxed atmosphere. Lovely to sit on the patio and watch the steam trains go by. will definately eat there again.
