The breakfast is amazing and the cakes and pastries are absolutely delicious. I couldn't resist trying a vanilla disc, carrot cake, and the Italian jam drops - they are truly something special.
Amazing coffee! I have tried every cafe on this half of the island, and this one definitely has the best coffee by far. The friendly owner Tony is absolutely right; the coffee at any other place on this strip just doesn't compare. The food is also delicious and the staff is extremely friendly. The atmosphere is great too.
I stopped by for a scone and coffee at this restaurant. The owner informed me that they only had one scone left, to which I replied, "No problem, I'll take it." Unfortunately, they had no cream for my coffee, which was a dealbreaker for me so I decided to leave. As I was leaving, the owner made sure to mention, "Don't bother going to Valori coffee shop for a coffee break, our coffee is better here." I was taken aback by his comment. It's a shame that in a small, close-knit community, there could be such competition. Of course, I went next door and told them I enjoyed their coffee instead. The owner lost a customer for good due to his attitude, especially since we are new in town and Valori is not open late like his cafe. We will be avoiding his business from now on. It's disappointing to hear that he has been trying to sabotage other businesses as well. I have no patience for people who try to succeed by tearing others down, and Mr. Tony should focus on improving his own business practices instead.
Basil and co is a busy caffe with a more beautiful view of the bay. there is a lot of choices that decide about ordering a challenge. my choice was a bagel with cream cheese, smoked laughs, touch and cute, hot and tasty. the apple and pear. freshly made juice was delicious. the meals are cheap and the staff very friendly. the cake cabinet is hard to resist. the lemon cheesecake and cannoli are popular. the coffee is very good.
After a day of whale watching a cake and afternoon tea was just the ticket. this little cafe was still open at 430 and had a very large range of cakes and other food to cook
