Very tasty food with a huge selection of different/original sushi items. Unfortunately, there is a long way to go for the experience to match the food. We were there as a couple and were sat for teppanyaki with another couple. Unfortunately the guy in that pair was way, WAY over-served (possibly 'pre-gaming '? . Clearly stumbling and drunk they still served the dude a beer (liability much? It was a bit too much for her to handle and they started bickering at the flat top. It was my wife and I, and these two. Talk about a messed up experience. After the argument they ended up leaving before actually ordering. He was an embarrassment. I bring it up only as a point that the restaurant did nothing to remove him. They just ignored it and sat passively aside while it happened. Did nothing about the belligerence, stumbling, wandering the restaurant ... He was literally walking and wandering behind the bar alone... This was a clear case of a blind eye turned and a 'not my problem ' from the management. Hopefully this can get addressed by staff and prepare for drunken disorderly conduct so others don 't experience it.
Kume has been a staple in our family for years. The hibachi station is always a blast, and we've had some high quality sushi. My favorites include the Hamachi Sashimi and Alligator Roll. Our most recent visit wasn't the best. I still loved my drinks and sushi, but the vibes were off at the sushi bar. Very messy boxes piled up and quite dark. If you dine here request a table in their dining room for a more enjoyable experience.
Enjoyed some nigiri here. When we visited it was not very busy and we were seated quickly. They have seating from small to large parties. Service was ok. Parking easy. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramped sidewalks
The vegetable teriyaki was mush and the sauce was watery, not like a sauce.
