Only thing we didn't absolutely love was the queso, on the cheese fries. But, I think that is more of a personal taste thing I could see where somecould really enjoy it. It has a taco seasoning taste that didn't match the rest of our meal. Enjoyed the actual restaurant Icould see where it could fill fast but, I think that is some of it's charm.
Inside, the menu was overwhelming for my stoned brain, but “fig and pig” caught my eye. And let’s not forget the onion rings—did I mention those? Maybe five times? No? Well, I don’t look *that* stoned, do I? I wasn’t sure I could trust myself to hear the cooks calling out the order numbers, let alone match them with what I was seeing on the dimly lit paper in that second-floor loft while trying not to drift off. Surprisingly, I managed to place my order without any issues, even though I had to navigate a staircase. Once my food arrived, I dug in right away. The burger? Not my favorite kind of bun—it’s your standard white burger bun but a little toasted and not soggy. I actually liked it. The patty was thin yet juicy, perfectly complemented by the crispy bacon. Honestly, it was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted while stoned! Each layer of the sandwich was bursting with flavor! And those onion rings? Oh my gosh, they were crunchy and crispy, with warm, sweet onion inside. The root beer float? Whatever ice cream they use in that float enhances the root beer flavor—it’s fantastic, and you have plenty of brands to pick from! Overall, I am 100% satisfied with my spontaneous lunch at this burger spot. Afterward, I continued on my mission to find my cheesecake.
I discovered Li'l Woody's while searching for nearby places to eat on Google, and I'm so glad I did! The staff were extremely friendly, and I had the Big Woody, a flame-broiled bacon cheeseburger, along with some amazing fries made from real potatoes that are cut right in the restaurant. If you ever find yourself in Seattle, be sure to stop by. I apologize for not including a picture of the Big Woody—I lost it!
The Ballard location feels clean and safe, while the Capitol Hill location left me uncomfortable, as if I might contract a foodborne illness just while ordering. The tables and red food baskets at Capitol Hill are perpetually sticky, and I’m not sure how they pass health inspections. The staff's attitude and knowledge could definitely use improvement. However, the food is consistently excellent! I dined at two different locations on consecutive days and tried the New Mexico Burger, the Pig and the Fig, and the Karikari Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich. Each one was outstanding in flavor. I really appreciate that Lil Woody's doesn’t take the easy route by using frozen fries. Capitol Hill, please address those exposed closets and areas by the bathroom; when I see that, I can’t help but wonder how unsanitary the hidden areas must be. Thankfully, I have a strong immune system. And thank you, Lil Woody's, for maintaining fair and affordable prices for us hardworking folks! I truly appreciate it and love your food.
Menu confusing so we just went for the Jr burger. Very good! Basket of fries too much for two peeps; could have had one basket for our party of 4 since two are very lught fry peeps. Very delayed greeting when entering.
