The albacore was nicely charred and delicious. Shrimp tempura roll: 7/10 enjoyed how crunchy and warm the shrimp tempura was inside this roll. The rice wasn’t cold, it was room temperature which was enjoyable. Usually quite busy, but we waited 30 minutes for spots at the bar. If you’d like a table the wait was 30+ minutes. For context: If you are a sushi enthusiast (enjoy authentic Japanese sushi, high quality fish sushi rice) then this will be average to you. However, for the average eater, this will feel average/above average.
Good place to have team dinner. The place was less noisy compared to others and we could sit and chat with each other. Food was reasonably ok, even for the vegetarians in the group. We had green decadence and tomato curry thing and they both tasted really good.
I always had a pleasant time at Momiji for reliable, delicious sushi rolls and a drink after a long day at work. The price was reasonably on the high end side — quite normal for Capitol Hill restaurants. The atmosphere is intimate with the Kyoto-style courtyard and the usual rain in Seattle. Will be back next time I visit!
I have been coming here since I moved to Seattle in 2019, and it feels like the standard has just dropped a little. Our server brought us the wrong food, spilled the sauces over the table, and seemed to be rushed the entire time we were there.
Amazing sushi. Tons of specials to choose from. Can’t wait to come back!
