Ristorante Doria - Seattle

We read great reviews about this place and decided to try it out. We love Italian food and know that it is very hard to find a good Italian restaurant in Seattle, unlike NY. Well... this was Italy wants to be back. The food is not Italian and the taste was very deceptive. I'm very sorry to write such a review, I don't like being negative, but we paid the best costs for something like microwave TV dinner food. I don't know if the previous reviews come from a previously owned restaurant or whether the chef has left, but this place really needs help with the quality of their foods or try something else if Italian isn't their specialty.

I had made 2 reservations, but when we arrived there we stood 5 minutes in the cramped entrance (! before someone noticed us and decided to put us (and there were many open and clean tables). The ambience was above average, and there was a live piano player who was kind of nice. The food was also good, although at $17 per dish, was probably on the pricier side for a moderate Italian restaurant away from downtown. Apart from the fact that we were ignored 5 minutes after our arrival, the service was also a little under-standard. Our waiter gave us a courtesy check shortly after dinner and gave us a water bottle for the table so that we can refill our water, but never came again until we were finished. In the meantime, when the water bottle has expired, it never came back to replace or refill it, which makes it hot Italian food problematic. Overall, no completely wasted dinner, as the food was good. That said the food itself was probably not worth visiting the price again, and the service was missing and simply not competitive with other restaurants.

Come every time we visit our son at UW. Amazing Italian food. Consistently delicious. Walking distance from u Bezirk Hotels.

Had the pre-fix family style menu for $28.50 and shared approximately 9 items. This was plenty of food and all excellent. I highly recommend.
