It's a shame more people don't go back to work! Poor girl was very busy.Food is good. Prices are fair.I don't like the idea they don't serve Coke or Pepsi products.
Tried to order take out via phone. Their phone just keeps disconnecting call if the caller does not hit 1 to sign up for text messages. Oh well.
I sure hope they make it.First, let me say that I am all for local businesses, especially veteran and first responder run ones, over national and regional chains.No one wants to be compared to their older sibling, predecessor, or ex, but alas it is inevitable. These folks have big shoes to fill since Lindsay and team moved on.For those who remember the prior restaurant, little has changed of the physical plant. The window to the kitchen is now uncovered, there are some new signs, and new people. The menus offer similar breakfast and lunch fare but with new clever and catchy names (excluding, of course, prior monthly specials. The waitstaff is new but nothing is lost there as our young waitress was very pleasant, engaging, and attentive to us.What has changed is the time you have to allot for a meal. It was exactly 50 minutes after we arrived, 45 minutes after our order was taken, and 2 coffee refills, by the time our bacon, eggs, home fries, and toast arrived. Again, we are talking a simple breakfast not a complicated dinner spread. I should add that about 2/3 's of the booths and only 1 counter space was occupied. Thus, I hope they improve on this or they will eliminate an entire class of non-retired patrons. Yes, I am sensitive to post C-19 labor shortages and delays, and have become quite patient, but this pushed the envelope a little far.We never saw anyone on deck other than our waitress, thus if the owners were in the store, they must have been in the office placing the next egg order. There was no evidence of anyone with a Sam Walton (Walmart) MBWA degree. Management By Walking About: a way that he could observe what was going on in his stores and thus observe, correct, and improve.Out of curiosity, we will return on a Sunday AM to see what that is like. That was usually the busiest time before and always reminded me of 'organized chaos ' kind of like what the Mall used to be (pre-online buying) on Christmas Eve.Other: 2 slices of bacon v. 3 and the thinnest sliced bread/toast ever......my cardiologist would be pleased. The bacon and a wet pasta texture. The next time there is a paint sale, someone needs to get rid of the ugly lime green bathroom the prior owners left you with. The one coffee pot was constantly being filled, waited for, and emptied. Perhaps a 2nd pot? Leftover coffee can be sold as I coffee later. If one is to seat themselves, the Wait to be Seated sign should be removed or covered with a dish towel.Good luck. Again we love local, vets, etc. and watching planes land while we dine.P.S. The suggested tips at various levels have you tipping on the state meal tax as well as the service.
Was busy. But the food was great. Good staff. Friendly. Definitely coming back again. Plenty of food also. Leaving full and happy.
