We both ordered off the fresh sheet and I had a great lunch of roasted garlic...and baked Brie. It was so goo we came back teo weeks later and my husband had the Lamb ravioli which was amazing, I had the roasted Garlic and baked Brie again and it was not as good. We convinced friends that the place was serving pretty good food again and so we had lunch yesterday. I ordered the same dish Roasted Garlic and Baked Brie.. The Brie was not baked so back it went then there was almost no garlic and the lovely little bits of pea shoots and arugula was replaced with a massive bland salad. The bread was really ovrcooked and hard to eat. My Husbands Tortellini was overcooked.. SO in short its still hit and miss. If we were not with friends I would have spoken to the manager and had my meal taken off the bill. I guess its back to the usual hang outs Too bad its a nice change from the Lighthouse
What a waste. This is such a beautiful location and yet the menu and food is extremely poor. We had been there a few times prior to the change in Chef and continue to go because although the menu was limited the food was good....We had great expectations when they said they had hired a new Chef that they said was exceptional. Not sure who did the hire or what they ate but let's just say this has not been an improvement. The food is stuff that is bought in bulk at Costco, no created by a certified chef. Too bad.
A beautiful venue with a west coast feel right on a golf course. The menu has changed though. Not much selection with only 3 dinner entrees. For the price, one would expect perfection, which it was not. Although tasty, the presentation was so-so and I...would not call broccoli, seasonal vegetables. C'mon chef, give us some more selections.
Great food and friendly service. Located on golf course so views are very nice. Large restaurant and large parking lot.
We have been dining at Blue Ocean Grill regularly lately. I didn't mention it in my past reviews, but since we live nearby, we wanted to try something different from our usual spots. We have been consistently impressed with the food after several visits. They have delicious flatbreads, with my favorite being the pear and gorgonzola. Their burgers are excellent and the pastas are good too. The service provided by Melissa and Helen is top-notch. I recommend trying it out soon, in case the quality of the food drops again.
