This is truly the best roadside attraction fun food experience I've had. I've been coming here from out of state since I was a small child. The staff and food are amazing. Young and old will love this eclectic atmosphere. Take some time to visit this cute little town!
Classic Route 66 dive diner. Our tour bus driver raved about their burritos and tacos. The kids and I grabbed soft serve cones for the road. You can call ahead to pick up an order, but I doubt there is an app or website for ordering. The man working the counter was the son of the owner and carries on the practical joker experience for customers. Worth a look, and in the small town that inspired the Pixar movie Cars. Picture of the Mater truck is from a shop down the road. The other pic is from the bus window of the side of the Snow Cap.
Excellent environment for families. Fun for those who have a sense of humor and an interesting place for those who enjoy history. The most ordered menu items are their cheeseburgers and dead chicken. We both ordered the cheeseburger, and they tasted good. I wish we had ordered one cheeseburger and one dead chicken. I'm going to have to take other people's words for their deliciousness.I highly recommend getting a malt. Butterscotch was so yummy we did share it.
My husband found this place while searching for restaurants near Route 66 and told me we couldn’t miss this gem. We are so happy we stopped. When you walk in to order, it’s a small corridor that’s covered in IDs, autographed dollar bills, stickers, etc. The food was good, he got a chorizo burger, I got a foot long hot dog, we shared some fries. Also shared a banana Oreo milkshake. Sat in an enclosed patio area, then walked around outside near the garden. Bathrooms look like an outhouse covered in random memorabilia. Old cars outside, random toilets filled with plants. Definitely a must see if traveling along Route 66!
