Monjunis Italian Cafe Grocery

I always loved this place but lately the food has really gotten mediocre. The lasagna I ordered tasted like it had been frozen for a month! I 'm hoping I just hit a bad day because this was one of my favorite go to places in Shreveport. Of course, the highlight of the restaurant is the Mint tea and those delicious crispy garlic bread rounds.

The food was great and very tasted too. The house Salad was great as well ?.

This comment is in reference to the new Benton, LA location.My wife and I have enjoyed Monjunis fine food for years. Mostly at the LA Ave location.However, expecting to enjoy a fine dinner, my wife decided to pick up at the new location.The food was the WORST example of Italian food I have ever tried to eat in my life. For the very first time ever, I cut my meatball to find the inside black as the Ace of Spades. She could have taken 45 dollar bills and let them fly out the window and gotten the same result.If, what we received, is representative of the food that will be served there, then I don't expect to see the open sign illuminated for very long.

I absolutely love their shrimp pasta salad. I crave it constantly. Unfortunately I don’t live close enough to eat it that often. I wish they would open up again in East Texas.
