Recent visit was an ok experience. Dining, restroom, and a few walk areas can use a bit more TLC. Stopped by to grab a slice of pizza at Pizza alla Palla and I would rate the pizza a 3.5/5. Pizza on display, pictured here, looked great, but when my slice came out, it was almost a bare-looking slice should have taken a photo), with definitely more dough than toppings. Quality of dough was nice and chewy, though. Cannot recall the name of the pizza but it has mozzarella, mushrooms, and a tasty ground meat not Funghi). After pizza, stopped by the Gelateria and ordered a Mini Gelato Flight $9) which was three 3) scoops with cones. Although they ran out of cones, the scoop sizes were a generous portion and did not disappoint, 5/5.
Went here for lunch when the place we were planning on going to did not serve a salad. Sat at the round pizza bar upstairs and had the arugula salad, margherita pizza, and a couple spritzers. Pizza and salad were EXCELLENT, spritzers and service were the awesome as well. I will be going back for future trips to Chicago.
This used to be a nice place to visit. Now, downright illbehaved host and hostesses, average food is the norm. Some good points are the variety of products available and the gelato bar on the ground floor. Due to location etc., they get a lot of tourist traffic. Spend your money elsewhere on Italian Food and other. Eataly leaves a bad taste.
One of the best Italian food, desserts and groceries under one roof.
First time here and I really enjoyed it. The two story Italian market has lots of food and drinks to purchase and a nice restaurant to enjoy their fresh made pasta. I really enjoyed the fresh pizza from the restaurant. They also have a nice bakery for some sweets. I left with some different Italian cheeses and wine from the market.
