This restaurant does not offer a wide choice à la carte, but a daily changing 4-course dinner menu that is displayed. On Saturday, August 6, 2016 that was: Summer Salad with Peach, Radish and Fresh Cheese Lentil Cream Soup with a Stick of Bacon Knuckle of Swiss Veal with Polenta from Veltlin Sour Cream Pudding with fresh Forest Berries Their multilingual waiters were professional, attentive and constantly offering a supplement. This is rarely seen, and I made use of it and had two of their lentil soups. I am neither a lover of Polenta, nor of Knuckle of Veal. In addition, I was tired that evening. Despite that, I will remember an excellent Polenta and an excellent Knuckle of Veal. Whomever they have in their kitchen: this person knows his business. The dinner was a real treat and compared to others worth its price, if not a steal. Highly recommended.
For many years we stayed at this hotel on half board, so we have eaten many dinners there. Now we stay in a vacation apartment, but we ate dinner there once again. It was a very lovely experience. First thing to note is that it's best to reserve. Secondly, that there is a fixed 4 course menu, which you can see in advance of course. And finally, if you inform them in advance of any extreme dislikes or wishes (vegetarian? they can usually make plans to accommodate you happily. Dinner is served starting at 19:00 and they like everyone to be seated no later than 19:30, although of course you don't have to wait for the late comers. This family owned and run establishment is smart, elegant and homely. Fluffy white linens, gleaming crystal, and a warm welcome. The food is simply excellent, the wine list is rich and the service friendly. We will return again and again. Especially on nights when Chef Dumeng Giovanolli is orchestrating the kitchen.
