The Truffle cream salmon Don had a generous portion of fresh salmon topped with creamy truffle mayonnaise and garnished with seaweed. The runny egg mixed in with the rice made it extra creamy and delicious. I also enjoyed dipping the salmon into the egg. The Garlic Butter Black Angus Don had chewy and succulent beef with a delicious glaze. The set lunch came with soup and tea. The ambience was great, with bartop tables that looked like battleships. Overall, a delightful dining experience!
I would give this restaurant a perfect 5 out of 5 stars if I could. The quality of everything here is amazing. The Wagyu dons are heavenly, tender, and literally melt in your mouth. You can't go wrong with any of the variety of dish flavors they offer. The tuna and salmon sashimi are fresh and delicious. Each dish is prepared right in front of you and served quickly. The staff is friendly, helpful, and efficient. There is a convenient ordering station at the entrance where you can order your dishes before sitting down, allowing you to just relax and enjoy the ambiance. This place was great years ago, and it has only improved over time. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Super value for money Omakase at $100 nett! Super fresh seafood and melty beef Ebi prawn rice was amazing too! Worth the visit! saw quite a few ordering their ala carte! Shall try those one day!
I tried their set lunches on a weekday and ordered the Garlic Butter Black Angus Beef Don for $20.90 (or $21.90 with chawanmushi) and the Mentaiko Salmon Don for $16.90. The set included hot miso soup and hot/cold green tea. The miso soup was very comforting. Both dishes were delicious, but the garlic butter don was especially flavorful. The garlicky, buttery rice paired perfectly with the thin, chewy slices of beef. The Mentaiko Salmon Don was also great, with fresh salmon cubes and a tasty mentaiko sauce. Unfortunately, the chawanmushi was a bit watery. The overall ambience of the restaurant was good, quiet, and cozy.
Had a pleasant experience having their Spring Omakase Menu! Food taste so fresh! Worth the value! Definately will come back soon!
