A sacred and divine place steeped in history. I visit every year and am pleased to see the ongoing changes—the monastery's grounds are expanding and becoming more beautiful. The number of parishioners and visitors continues to grow. During Christmas, the atmosphere was truly heavenly, with decorations and ornaments adding to the joy. The area transformed and sparkled with light. The monastery is well-placed, situated away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The residents of Solokhoul and neighboring areas have benefited from the presence of the monastery. The natural landscape and the sacred springs enhance this picturesque, ancient site.

Great place to cool off from the summer heat and peek inside a strict monastery.

The monks frown upon boys wearing long hair, though themselves do! They demand to take the earrings off once a man gets inside the church. The area people are allowed to is really small. Actually, it’s not worth it to be there coz the monks are there to hassle people or to tell them off. On the contrary the holy creek is a gorgeous place where visitors can take a dip in a specially designed little pools, there are even changing rooms! Definitely a place to have a look at. Avoid the monastery!
