Danish Mill Bakery - SOLVANG

The bakery offers an extensive variety of baked goods. Be prepared to spend some time waiting; it took us about 25 minutes to order. We tried the cherry and cream cheese roll, custard pastry, princess cake, and dog biscuits. The pastries were tasty, although the dough had a slightly salty taste, but they were enjoyable when combined with the fillings. The princess cake was delicious, though it didn’t have the green color typically seen on the Great British Bake Off! It’s nice to have treats for the dogs, though my dog wouldn't eat them. Overall, this bakery is a great stop while in Solvang, but be ready to wait in line.

Everything looks so delicious that I want to try every pastry and dessert... hahahaha! We went for breakfast at 9 AM and definitely indulged in quite a feast: a Danish continental breakfast (which included milk, orange juice, a roll with Havarti cheese, and a strawberry and cheese Danish), plus a cinnamon bun, an apple fritter, a ham and cheese roll, a slice of princess cake, and a Danish cinnamon pastry. My absolute favorite has to be the Danish Kringle. The outside is flaky and slightly crispy, topped with almonds, while the inside is soft and moist with a delightful filling. There's a hint of sea salt that really enhances the flavors. The pastry is shaped into a large swirl. It was simply heavenly!

This is definitely the best bakery in Solvang! Everything is fantastic, from their incredibly fresh pastries to their apple cinnamon pull-apart bread. Make sure to grab a tub of Danish cookies before you leave!

We recently stayed at this bakery in Solvang. The place has many options for bakery! We have a variety of pastries and they all taste delicious! We also ordered hot drinks to connect to the pastries. The staff was great!
