What a wonderful sound! the food was absolutely delicious with perfect portions to reasonable trips. we had a caprese salad, amatriciana bucatini pasta, mushroom ravioli and chicken mozzarella panini. all were tasteful and presented on a beautiful way. (in the did, I recommend that they show photos of the directed into the window how great they look. the pastas are all made fresh from the cook, and they can say it during eating. we are so glad we stumbled amelias cucina. do not let his simple appearance turn them away. we will definitely try again!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful meal last night at Amelia's. We relaxed at a quiet table by the window while the chef/owner prepared a delicious meal for us. The bread was so fresh we couldn't stop eating it with our poured plates of olive oil. The bruschetta was the best we've ever had so flavorful. We never finish an appetizer, especially bread, but we finished that. By that time we knew we'd have to take part of our entrees home. The entrees were freshly prepared, the chef chose a lovely red wine for me, and we walked out thinking we'd had one of the most enjoyable meals we've had in some time. We will definitely be back.
Went to Amelia's for the first time recently. Ordered the lasagna with beef, and my partner ordered the fettucini mama. The lasagna was warm, the pasta was soft and structured as I'd expect from homemade noodles. The sauce and beef were good, but not amazing to me I think I like my lasagna with a little more tangy tomato sauce and more salty meat, but it was good. The fettucini sauce was really good, butter and white wine how can you go wrong? Noodles were quite thick and chewy, definitely handmade. I'd visit again to try some of their pizza or sandwiches.
We wanted to like this place since the staff is so nice, but it's just not that good. Boring pasta menu, very slow kitchen and average pizza at best. Last time we went they couldn't make what we ordered because they had no fresh basil. What kind of italian restaurant has no basil? Also, the wine was gross; tasted like it was left out in the heat.
