Sajna is always late with collection, I have not arrived at the allotted time and collected my meal straight away, always have to sit and wait. Others do the same, one other waiting with me said that they only start preparing when you actually turn up. Then when you do get it, it is nothing special. So far, all the meals I have ordered taste pretty much the same, no real difference and all lacking in the spice of India. Always disappointed but maybe that is just because I have had such great Indian food elsewhere and I like flavours.
Sadly this establishment seems to concentrate more on take away meals than customers waiting in restaurant. In an empty restaurant we sat and waited for over an hour before our food arrived. This is shameful especially as we were paying more than those having carry out food. Need to decide what they are or they will lose most regular customers.
I stumbled upon Sajna for the first time unintentionally, as I was on my way to my usual local Indian restaurant. Due to road construction, I had to take a different route through Beaconsfield. I was looking to get takeout rather than dining in. I ordered pilau rice, king prawn masala, cauliflower bhaji, and some poppadoms. The staff was warm and friendly, and offered me a drink while I waited. The restaurant, though small with about 10 tables, was already half full early on a Wednesday, a good sign. The meal took around 20 minutes to prepare, showing it was made fresh unlike many other Indian takeaways. Upon tasting the food at home, I was delighted by the quality and flavor of the dishes, which I frequently order and compare. Having lived and worked in Dhaka, Bangladesh for 18 months, I consider myself knowledgeable in Indian/Bangladeshi cuisine, and found the food at Sajna to be exceptional. While it may be more expensive than my usual Indian spot, the quality justifies the cost. I plan on becoming a regular at Sajna for both takeout and dining in, and highly recommend it.
My family recently moved to Beaconsfield and we have been trying out all the restaurants in the area. After a disappointing experience at another Indian restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised by this one. We initially thought it was only for takeout but decided to dine in and were blown away by the fantastic food. The quality, taste, and portion size of the meat were all excellent. As Indian cuisine is our favorite, it can be difficult to impress us, but this place exceeded our expectations. It has now become our go-to Indian restaurant in the area. Thank you for the wonderful food and friendly service.
After trying out numerous restaurants in the area, I consistently find myself coming back to Sajna with friends and family. The dishes are always freshly made and the spices are blended perfectly. The staff is welcoming and attentive. Our visit yesterday evening left us eagerly anticipating our next trip back.
