During my visit on August 17th, I enjoyed the delicious fried snapper and coconut crumb from their Caribbean menu, however, the service was lackluster. The familiar and attentive waitstaff were nowhere to be found. When it came time to pay, they wouldn't add the amount to my frequent customer card or accept my Toptable Essscheck without any explanation. Due to the poor service, I chose not to leave a tip. I may not return for quite some time, as there are other excellent Indian restaurants like Khyber in Croydon to choose from.
Planet Spice in Addington is undoubtedly one of the best of many good Indian restaurants in South East London. But our visit to this time was somewhat disappointing. The most important courses were good, but not excellent, although the desserts protruded. We had the standard menu that I missed the special regional menus that gave this restaurant its speciality. I hope they're back. Service sometimes seemed a little slapdash and the metal guitar background music even at very low volume irritated
The food at Planet Spice in Selsdon Park Road was very good as the service. They had forgotten the 50%, but quickly changed the bill once remembered.
Although appetizers were good, our main cause of Tandoori Venison and Chicken Tikka Masala were under standard. In particular, the Venison did not function as a Tandoori court.
As with previous posts, the 50% discount on main courses was not forthcoming. However, the food was good, fresh and tasty. If you 're thinking of coming for a traditional English curry then don 't come here: but if you would like tasty, fresh and filling food this is well worth a try. Initially disappointed with the size of the portions, as with all good food this was truly filling. Service was attentive without being intrusive and always friendly.
