We hoped to eat lunch in the Restaurant but it was fully booked for following 3 days (so book early). So we went for the take away option instead. We enjoyed fish Chips (fish yesterday was Hake). Freshly cooked and very tasty. I particularly liked the minted mushy peas. The narrow roads into Beesands are a bit of a pain, but the reward of great Fish Chips definitely made it worthwhile. Take away fish chips on a breezy, dreary Tuesday afternoon in October. We live in a seaside town with fish/chip shops a plenty, but these were seriously the best fish chips we've had in a long time! Excellent service, fish was Hake, light golden batter, great sized meaty fish, good portion of lovely crispy chips. Also had a pot of mushy peas, which we didn't realise were minted, lovely. Well worth the drive through the narrow lanes!
