Our server (bald headed, sorry didn't catch your name) was friendly and helpful, explained best way to navigate the lake if not keen on heights. We also sampled the Goulash which was delicious.
Visited from out of state and had no expectations whatsoever, we were just looking for a cool place to grab a meal. Was easily the best meal we had in South Lake Tahoe (as good as Hell's Kitchen for a quarter of the cost). We ordered the pork shank for 2. It came with red cabbage, sauerkraut, and spatzle. I have never really had German food before but was blown away. The waiter had very dry humor and a blunt attitude, which I appreciated. We were basically the only customers (right before close) and he left us alone and didn't rush us. He offered us beer suggestions based on our order (which were amazing). 11/10 would recommend.
Very delicious and very clean because owners serving you:)Everyone need to try if you are in South Lake Tahoe! My recommendation Roasted Pork Shank!
Very good Schnitzel, red cabbage, and Spätzle. THE beer went well with meal. The service was great. We would return if we ever are in the area.
The best food we have tried in a while. And that says a lot coming from a New Yorker. Chicken Schnitzel was so good, you didn’t need a knife to cut into it. Their soup was amazing as well. Planning to get a house nearby just so I can visit more often
