A lovely welcome from the barmaid/landlady ? . I had a well kept pint of Butcombe Original ale, and my wife a very good cloudy, still, cider. Food was straightforward without being ordinary. We sat in the garden and enjoyed the tranquility of the village. An ideal break for those travelling from the south east to Devon and Cornwall. Will call in again next time we pass.
We stayed at The Catash Inn Fri Mon in readiness for a friends Wedding which was held over two days. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay at the Catash and that was due to the owners Caroline who is a fab landlady and James a fab chef and also their other members of staff. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The meal we ate in there on the Fri evening and the breakfasts we had were all excellent, quality ingredients, well presented and extremely tasty. We would highly recommend the Castash Inn for a stay or even a visit just to eat and have a drink, you won 't be disappointed. The Catash Inn deserve to go from strength to strength. As they say at the Catash there are no strangers at the Catash Inn only friends you haven 't made yet! which is so very true.
Lovely pub and inn. They were so accommodating, and the English breakfast was lovely. Bed comfortable! We will definitely go back again. Gay friendly pub and inn.
The food was lovely (my partner and I had mac'n'cheese and chips), from a menu that was really well priced. When the food came, the portions were generous, tasty and felt very home cooked. The staff were really friendly and they seemed to really want to take care of us. Must admit, from the outside it looked plain but inside the decor was warm and because of the staff, food and price, we had a great time. It was recommended to us and we were right to take that. Also, the toilets were immaculate which isn't something everywhere can say!
What a wonderful little pub. The staff and the locals were so friendly and made us feel so at home. Very reasonable prices and the food was very pleasant with pretty decent portions. There are good vege options and they are very dog friendly too (though be careful you may fall in love with some of the local pooches-I was debating smuggling one out! ! Would definitely recommend and will visit again when I am next in the area.
