Moxies Southlake

Really average food, my wife and I went there for lunch. No alcohol, two salads and an appetizer for $100. Both salads were dry and anemic so overall a pretty average experience. Nice bar, good location, average food IMHO

We had a reservation, was told that it was going to be a few minutes. Which is no problem but to take a walk in before us and then try to give us the table they didn't want, was upsetting. As well as it being a high top table and my mom being older and not as mobile, when they have the lower tables and chairs available. The food was little under seasoned, the mashed potatoes didn't appear to be seasoned both visually and taste wise. I got the short rib bolognese, which was descent in flavor but it didn't appear to have very much short rib and the short rib wasn't very tender. Also had the calamari appetizer, both the shrimp and calamari were rubbery and the sauces just didn't seem to go with the dish in my opinion. At this point I thought the baguette that came with the bolognese was the best part of the meal, until I had the sticky toffee pudding desert, which I thought was pretty good. Our waitress was very nice and made sure that we were takin care of.

Holiday crowd made it challenging for the staff, but they pulled it off. A lot of menu substitutions and materials shortages after the lunch rush probably frustrated them. The team taking care of my family were excellent and we managed to get food and some drink despite the issues that being very popular brings.

Basically an upscale Chili's or Applebees experience with potentially less attentive service. Really subpar for what it has become now. Service was lackluster as soon as sever realized we weren't ordering alcohol (everyone at that table had to fly within 12hrs-company rules) the food was not even warm Hal burger bun was soggy and cold. Asked for extra ketchup a few times from various servers never arrived. Won't be back.

Best restaurant in Southlake... drop the mic. We hit this location weekly. Food excellent, service excellent, bartenders excellent, tv's everywhere (in the bar area), crowd-lively... Cannot imagine my life without Moxies! haha...
