Worse, I waited 45 minutes to get it. Should have known by lack of cars in lot. The Hostess was put out that we asked to sit outside at one of the 3 open tables? as she had to have one cleaned. Sadly, a great view. Fried shrimp was pretty good. If you eat here, stick with their fried regulars
Sunday night. 6pm. Not busy. The place is kinda funky, kinda reminds me of an 80's seafood theme restaurant. My server is friendly. Food is tasty but off. Gumbo is on point. Hush puppies would have been good if they were fresh, but they were all hour old, chewy. Crab platter good, shrimp and grits off, the grits were cold and old. They also do not use single ice cubes in their bourbon drinks, but I didn't expect it here. Over all meh.
Stopped on our way to Gulf Shores, we just wanted an appetizer so we ordered cup of seafood gumbo. Before I get to the description please be aware we live close to and I have traveled many times over the years to New Orleans to eat seafood and we have a good realization of what it is supposed to be like. THIS IS NOT IT ! The bowls were completely full of white rice with no room left for the gumbo. What gumbo there was was simply nothing more than brown flour gravy, no okra,
Everything was really good. I had grouper and shrimp fried and they were crunchy and seasoned very well. I also had the Cajun baked potato and it was great. The cole slaw was also good and I?m not a huge fan of cole slaw. My husband had steak, blackened grouper and shrimp. His food was also delicious. The waitress was amazing as well. I think her name is Dana.
Amazing seafood and steaks! Crawfish was great and so was the Chargrilled oysters. My wife had shrimp and grits.
