Kissho Sushi - Sparks

10/10 would reccomend. I live out of state and come to Reno for work every once in awhile, and I always make sure to grab some shrimp yakisoba for dinner at least once from this specific restaurant. The staff is so kind and they even remembered my coworker when she brought me here for the first time. It had been months since she dined here and they recognized her when we came in it was very welcoming! I've been to a lot of the surrounding restaurants in the area and this one is by far the most friendly I've been to in all of Sparks/Reno area.

First time trying this place. Went in on a Wednesday night at 6pm. Two other tables were there, yet no one else came in after us. Service was friendly and fast. Clean place, however the old town road song played on repeat.. the entire time we were there... I mean the entire time.. can 't make that up. Sushi was just okay. Rice felt hard and not as fresh. Maybe just came in a slow bad night but for 35 bucks for ayce I 'm not sure I 'd give it another try. Drink selection could have been bigger.

Finally, a sushi restaurant in Sparks with a Chirashi Bowl! Having celiac means that sushi places have a high risk off cross contamination, but Kissho always goes above and beyond to make sure my food stays gluten free. The service is always friendly, and generally prompt. The ambiance isn't the best. The benches aren't very comfortable and they use a lot of fake flowers in their decor which attract dust, but the food has been consistently good. I give them 4 stars because the prices are a bit high for all you can eat in the area, particularly given that the location is on the perimeter of the Legends Mall. Also, the plated options like the Chirashi Bowl are on their to go menu but not on the menu you receive when you sit down so I always have to ask if it is still offered. All in all, a solid local choice for gluten free sushi dining.

The staff here is wonderful and very attentive. The nigiri is good and comes out quickly.
