D'Arcy's Pint - Springfield

It was our first time here. I started off with a Frozen Nutty Irishman drink. SO GOOD! We got the cheese nuggets as an appetizer. They were alright. I tried the pizza which was really good. I ordered a pot roast horseshoe for myself, and it wasawesome! I'd definitely recommend it. The roast was juicy and tender and all of the cheese and fries were amazing! We'lldefinitely be back!

Stopped in for lunch and tried the pot roast horseshoe. It was delicious and our food arrived at our table in about 5 minutes after ordering. We arrived at 1130am and the place was already busy, not sure if it's always like that but i would guess itis. Will be returning with the family to try some more items on the menu.

The horseshoes here really are phenomenal and worth your time. The cheese sauce has a unique flavor and the meat selections are numerous. I always get the breaded tenderloin and it?s always what everyone at the table considered the best. In a lot of ways,though, this spot is kind of like a one-trick pony. If you stray outside of what their famous for (the horseshoes), it?s a cointoss as to whether it?ll be worth it. They have a lot of options on their menu, but it?s hard to do that many things well. Forinstance, we got a bbq chicken pizza this go round, and while it wasn?t bad, it was certainly nothing to write home about. Butthe ambiance of the place is fun, balancing nicely between a midwestern bar and an Irish pub. And the staff is always welcomingand pleasant. It has a great vibe. Give the place a chance and it?s likely you won?t be disappointed, especially if you stickwith getting a horseshoe.

It came highly recommended so we tried it. Famous for their Horseshoe but honestly it didn?t really appeal to me. The menu has a great variety to choose from. Our waitress was super friendly. All the food was good. Nachos. Black and Bleu salad. Grilledchicken Smoked gouda chipotle apple butter sandwich.

What is Springfield IL known for? A dish called the horseshoe. Now, before I went anywhere (to try); I asked the hotel staff. Two ladies at the desk, (both said in unison): D Arcy 's I need to go to D Arcy 's....so I did. I was skeptical of what horseshoe was going to be like....and the dish was crazy good! A horseshoe consists of small extrude crinkle cut fries; a beef patty and cheese sauce. This place separates themselves (with) their cheese sauce; it 's just superior! As I understand, it 's a blend of cheeses...that come together and taste great on its own. But the fries...have a crispy cook to them...and they 're done on inside quite well. Then you come a great beef patty flavor. This whole dish flat works! And look at the tables around you: everybody is having this dish.....horseshoes are all over the place!
