Lucas Park Grille - St. Louis

Great food, prices reasonable, a bit too loud, dampen the ceiling.

Absolutely the worst experience I and my fiancée have ever had.

The overall experience was pleasant. the food was good. the service lacked attention. we waited 15 minutes or so to finally order. we waited 20 min or so for a dessert menu from which we never received. When the waiter came back, he apologized and said he forgot. So we just asked for our check. we enjoyed being together as a family, so that the whole wait didn't ruin the evening for us, but a more attentive waiting staff would have made the evening better. not sure we're coming back.

I booked Valentines dinner several weeks in advance and confirmed my reservations the day before Valentines day, but when I arrived they didn't have us in their system. Luckily we had an 2 emails confirming the reservation but still ended up waiting for our table. Not sure what the point of having a reservation is if they don't have your table? The food was good, but the service was slow and the 4 course dinner included Champagne which was never offered/delivered. When you plan a nice evening out with you spouse and you have to involve a manager to honor the reservations you have confirmation for it stinks.

I went with my partner to celebrate an early Valentine's day dinner together, and we had an absolute wonderful time there. Our reservation was for 6pm on a Sunday, and much to our surprise the restaurant was empty during that time. I doubt this is a norm for the restaurant, but nonetheless we enjoyed the quiet ambiance of the location while our server was both kind and entertaining during our meal. The food was delicious, the desserts were amazing, and our drinks were made so well. To this day, my boyfriend still talks about this place with high regard, and we look forward to returning here for the future! Again, Lucas Park Grille deserves a 5/5 in our books!
