The food was fantastic; we both had everything bagels with bacon, egg, and cheese, paired with different cream cheeses. They were both delicious! However, it’s not just about the bagels—the atmosphere was incredibly welcoming. I really liked the layout of the place, and the staff were very friendly. You really can’t ask for more than that!
I've tried to give this place multiple chances, but it's been disappointing each time. The first visit, my order took nearly 30 minutes, which is too long for bagels. On another occasion, around 11 AM when it was quite slow, none of the seven employees were able to take my order. After waiting for a long time, I decided to leave and go to Chelsea just around the corner. At Pete's, a simple bagel with cream cheese costs about $6, but at Chelsea, you get two for that price. The service was lacking, and the prices are high. I won't be returning.
The best bagels I've had outside of the Hudson Valley (NY)! Definitely try the Original Pete; you won't be disappointed. They also serve amazing salmon coffee and incredible pastries.
We absolutely adore Pete's! We've been fans since their days in Crescent Lake Park, and now that they're located on 1st Avenue, the spot is even better. They have great seating options, a high chair available, and an overall wonderful atmosphere. The staff is incredibly nice and friendly, particularly Ben! Make sure to try the breakfast sandwich with Impossible sausage or one of their delicious cream cheeses, like Garden Herb or Jalapeño. They truly have the best bagels in St. Pete!
This is the only bagel shop that truly matters to me in all of St. Pete. ❤️
