Even as a local this restaurant is a very good choice. Genuine down to earth kitchen without any fuzz but still high standard and inspirational food. Best time to visit is in early summer when the asparagus is ripe. Great outdoor seating. Friendly staff .
I visited this restaurant because the restaurant in Stainzerhof was closed. It is really great - very local food, perfectly prepared. We had deer and locally produced fish. Very good serviceBe sure to reserve in advance, when we were there you only got a seat with reservation.
I thought it would be good to eat out one night as we were in the area for 2 nights.Ate in our hotel 1st night which was excellent.I used trip advisor to find this restaurant. It is in a nice setting and the staff are friendly.Menus aren't in English and staff do their best to translate-cow's stomach didn't sound too appealing!Loads of trout on the menu which is their speciality. The food was just ok,a bit bland maybe. Not a place for kids unless they are very adventurous-no sausage and chips here and if there was it would be sausage made from some part you wouldn't want to eat!I wouldn't go back but I am glad I went!
