Some friends and I were driving through Staunton on Memorial Day and we happened to need some beer. Luckily we ran into John on the sidewalk and he gladly opened up his shop for us to get some. We ended up leaving with a couple six packs, and some great kombucha. What a guy and what a store! John has great personality, knowledge, selection, and prices. Highly recommended this to anyone in the Staunton area of anyone passing through in need of great beer.
I can't speak to points south of Staunton, but this is the best craft beer store in the Shenandoah Valley from Staunton to Winchester bar none there is no one else even in the discussion. They're happy to break apart packs so you can build you're own six or four pack. Excellent service, excellent selection. If you like craft/good beer, this is the place to go.
My MIL lives in Fairfield and she brought us here to get some harder to find beers and man we were not disappointed!! Such a cool shop and they know their beers! We live in Georgia, but we cannot wait to come back and come here!
I stopped into Shenandoah Hops (SH) to scout out tasty potables in advance of my Amtrak ride to DC the next day. Located literally steps from the Staunton train station, SH couldn't be more convenient. The store offers an outstanding selection of hundreds of local and international beers, and the super-friendly proprietors are willing to sell anything in the store by the bottle. The shop owner set aside my selections in the frig. When I came by to pick them up the next day, she also gifted me a bottle opener and a souvenir plastic cup. Great fun, fantastic selection, and first-rate friendly service.
Great little shop with a terrific mix of local, regional and national craft beer. Even a few taps that I wish I had more time to sample. Friendly, knowledgeable and we will be back!
