Know that there is a lot of smoke, good live music, an out doors feel seating, and freshly made meats. Enjoy! This is the chicken and baked potato with brisket.
Good atmosphere and barbecue. Sauce was great and so was the cobbler. Brisket was slightly dry and could use a little more flavor if any criticism is due. Prices are also quite high so bring your pocketbook with you.
We travel all over and I can honestly say that this place has the BEST Texas BBQ brisket I have ever eaten! Everything about this place is authentic, rustic, and absolutely delicious. The smoked meat, sides, friendly staff, reasonable prices, rustic decor, country music, rodeo on TV screens!?!... It's everything you could want from a BBQ smoke house and more! I'm extremely impressed! (Ps- I'm an old rodeo quadrille rider and the picture wall brought back memories.
When to the original hard 8 barbecue today out in Stephenville. I was doing some work for my company out there today. My dad told me to stop by and have a chopped beef sandwich. Which I am really glad I did only spent about $11 on Chopped beef sandwich and a large drink. The barbecue was really good.!!! I would definitely recommend BBQ from this place. They have several different locations to choose from. But you can't beat the original. This was the first time I've been to this establishment. Everybody that I met inside was nice courteous and kind.
The hard eight barbecue was recommended to us and after traveling 45 minutes out of the way we were disappointed by the pulled pork being sold out by 7pm. The brisket was good, the ribs okay and the chicken satisfactory. There were only two kinds of bbq sauce. It is a buffet style and food was not worth the price.
