Although I drove almost daily around the opposite, I forgot that the chequers existed, and it was on the way to try some other pubs I discovered and thought: why not? and why not? what a fantastic, inexpensive device with a large selection of beers. I tried the excellent mild, a rare tasty, and only hope that the pubs from the beaten track location will not threaten it's future. after I was called to enjoy? the joys of stevenage, I have a revisit to taste the wars in the offer. much more busy at my return were porter and stout in excellent form and very favorable. too soon I got the call that the old dame tescos parking had negotiated and waiting outside. Too bad. friendly ghosts, pete and robin were more than willing to cheat me. next time I hope.
An amazing pub. beautiful historical facility. great relaxing atmosphere with very friendly staff. beautiful selection of restaurants and beer. this is a highly recommended pub to visit. what could you want more?
A great choice of cask ales and a lovely friendly environment. A proper pub!
Great pub, with superb real ales on rotation. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. My go to in the Old Town.
This is a fantastic pub! The bartender poured a perfect pint and was very knowledgeable about their extensive gin selection. The landlady is quite pleasant as well.
