Wife ordered liver and onions with mashed potatoes and I had hot turkey sandwich. Both meals included complementary soup which was cream of celery. We finished off by sharing coconut cream pie. Everything was home made other than the French fries. Even the side veggies were home made, steamed carrot, broccoli, and cauliflower. Server was nice and friendly and quick service. Prices are very reasonable. Overall a very good experience. We will definitely be back.
We love it here. We were just there again) last night. Food is fantastic, and everyone’s meals come to the table at the same time. Service is great!!!!
I was very impressed from when I walked into the restaurant. greeted with a smile and hello very prompt service. I had the bacon double cheese burger an excellent sloppy burger and lots of fries. great place to eat
Had lunch there while doing business in Stonewall. A very busy place at that time of day. The service was good and everyone was very friendly. The food portions were a good size, and the meals were fine, but it was nothing I would make an extra effort to write home about. Not bad for a motor inn restaurant, but I probably would try something else next time.
On a trip to Manitoba at the end of the day we stayed at the Rockwood Motor Inn and had occasion to have dinner at Le Petite Café, located in the hotel. We were surprised and delighted to find that this little restaurant was extremely popular with the locals and busy from 7;00 in the morning until closing time in the evening. Its popularity no doubt has much to do with the very good food served up, but probably as much with the very friendly and helpful staff that work in the restaurant. My entrée was chicken kebobs and they were excellent. We also had an opportunity to try at the suggestion of one of the locals their beef borscht and it was definitely a winner! The food and desserts are all made in the kitchen and served up fresh; no microwaves I could see. We know why this is such a popular place to eat in Stonewall.
