We live in Kent and they live in Redditch, so it was a bit of a journey to get there, but it was definitely worth it! We had a wonderful table and the food was excellent, with something for everyone, even my very picky 13-year-old. What made the experience even more special was our server, Summer. She was a delightful and pleasant young lady who was attentive without being intrusive. She made sure we had everything we needed, asked if there was anything extra we wanted, and served each course with a smile and professionalism. I realized when paying the bill that no service charge was added, so I wanted to leave a tip to show my appreciation for the great service. Unfortunately, I only had a card and no cash, so I couldn't leave a tip. I wanted to show my appreciation for Summer's excellent service, so I decided to write this review to let her know. Well done, Summer! You helped make our lunch very special and I am grateful for your outstanding service. Sly Cotterill.
The meat was sliced so so thin it was almost transparent. The venue was not very comfortable. Given the old room beside the road side. Draft comes through the windows.
I went to this restaurant for breakfast with my son and we enjoyed our time at the small playground nearby. However, my experience was spoiled when I received a £100 parking charge. This was my first time visiting and I was not aware that I needed to provide my car registration number to the restaurant. I have never encountered a pub with a car park that required this before. As a parent, my focus was on my energetic child and I did not notice this requirement. Overall, this experience has left a bad impression on me and I will not be returning. Additionally, the price of two eggs on toast for £105.99 is outrageous.
Have not had a carvery for years pre Covid) I was in a party of 10, our table was a bit miss matched but was clean and we had a nice quiet area at the back/side of the pub looking out onto the road) so we were all happy. We all had carvery. I am gluten free so these types of things always carry an element of risk and as always I had looked on line and worked out what was safe for me to eat also crosscheck with ‘ glass onion’ app for GF food) When I ordered I was told what to avoid on the counter and they told me I will get GF a gravy which was a welcome addition. Despite not being able to choose, cauliflower cheese, or mashed potato I had enough choice; I ate ; cabbage, carrots, green beans, roasties, with my meat and was brought a jug of GF gravy. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and will be returning.
Food was decent however it took so long to come out I’d of eaten anything. Neither clean or friendly, wouldn’t return
