Wonderful meal and lovely surroundings. great service efficient staff and great vibe. nice busy atmosphere without being too crammed.
We stayed at the Kings Court during C19 but everything was sorted as much as it could be ana everything was very pleasant. We thoroughy enjoyed Alcester (said like Ulster). the town is a delight to wander around and a visit to the little training bakery at the side of the church was great. Have a look at the clock on the church tower, it is on a corner. Loved the town and the countryside is stunning. You can hardly believe that Birmingham is not that far away. Warwickshire is well worth visiting.
Fabulous overnight stay included a 3 course meal B&B. I had emailed ahead and explained about a knee injury so they put us in one of their ground floor lodges which was very roomy. En-suite with a shower in the bath. Very clean and tidy bed linen and towels all snowy white but room could do with a little upgrading mainly to paintwork and the seats in the sitting area which were badly stained. Our room number was 1 which needs the radiator bleeding as was hot at the bottom but Luke warm as you got to the top whereas the bathroom radiator was boiling. The evening meal we were served was excellent with good choices on all 3 courses. A great quiet nights sleep followed by a lovely breakfast. Prices in the bar are on par with other hotels. One way system in operation (COVID-19) where possible not always adhered to by guests who had more than been prompted by staff who were all very nice and attentive. Tables were cleared quickly. Must have been good as have booked again
Once in a while you find a gem of a hotel with good food, friendly staff and everything else that makes for a enjoyable stay, the kings hotel ticks all these boxes, well done and thank you.!!! Steve Kath .
