I decided to give this restaurant a try some time ago. I purchased their sourdough bread, which was burnt on the outside and difficult to cut with a knife. I was extremely dissatisfied.
This review is hard to make for totally selfish reasons... if they are sold out (again of the sourdough bread, I am taking down this post. It's a magical incredible bakery folks, hard not to eat the whole loaf before getting it home to a stick of butter. The crust is only the start to this wonderful experience. So horrible, don't go there please ;
This restaurant is adorable, has fantastic staff, and smells incredible. My family is from London, so we frequently stop by their stall at the Western Fair Farmer's Market. During a day trip to Stratford, our kids insisted on visiting this bakery. The chocolate chip cookies were decadent and the brownie was delightful. Overall, it was a lovely experience.
Every time we dine at Soup Surreal, we make sure to order a loaf of their delicious sourdough bread to go with our soups. It is the perfect accompaniment for our meal and also makes for a great snack on its own!
