After many years we visited the Maredo again. Years ago under the direction of Mr. Holl a highlight, the Maredo has been out for years. The place was almost empty on Friday night at 10:00 a.m., despite several employees present, only a small tip. The obligatory salad buffet is still in the old version at the places. The waiter has placed the order very commercially. The food quality was no more than average. The Rumpsteak had too large a fat rim and was not completely grilled medium, pumice little portion and spinach badly seasoned. Also the beef fillet was probably not roasted to the point, the rice was not grainy and the quark filling of the kiln potatoes was badly seasoned. Also the formerly highly appreciated steaksouce is no longer available, now there is a standard industrial sauce from the glass bottle. Overall, one has to say clearly, the best times of the Maredo are really long over. Group-run companies often lack personal leadership and associated charm.
