We can to dinner on a Friday night with the family. We came for an earlier dinner and at that time there were only a few tables filled. Within the two hours or so we were there, it was pretty busy! The restaurant is cozy and warm. It is much bigger than I thought it would be. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated promptly. Our server was very attentive and kind throughout our entire meal. To start we got the Brussels sprouts which were cooked nicely and came as a large portion size for a starter! I got a glass of wine and my husband got a cocktail which was average. For our entrees we got the baked cod, butternut ravioli and a cheese pizza. Everything was very tasty. I loved the ravioli! We were too full for dessert so can't say much about it, maybe next time! Happy we gave this place a shot. It's definitely one of the best Suffield restaurants at least in our opinion. We will be back!
If you like thin crust pizza then this is the perfect place for you. The mushroom topped pizza is delicious. My wife loves Oyster Bay Sauvignon wine but they offer Scarboro which she tried and now I've got a new wine to stock up on. I had a margarita which sadly was not as good as the wine. We finished our dinner with a great dessert molten chocolate cake which our very attentive server John suggested. He even added dollops of delicious whipped cream. The restaurant bar is very popular and very noisy but the restaurant offers private alcoves for private dining which we enjoyed
We ordered the calamari which was ok, but portion size was small for the price. I ordered the butternut ravioli for my entree, which was very good. I also enjoyed the fig balsamic on my salad. My mom had the french onion soup and the salmon salad. Both the soup salad were excellent. The portion of salmon given was very good and the lemon vinaigrette was excellent. Service was good. It was cold and we had to wear jackets inside. We will be back to try some other options from the menu. We were a larger party (12). Everyone agreed the food was average at best. Burgers were very good, prosciutto arugula pizza was all arugula, very, very, very little prosciutto. Cod was tastless. On a good note, the waitstaff was amazing. Went out of their way to take great care of us.
