I visited this restaurant for the first time with a group of 6, but unfortunately, it will also be my last. The food was terrible - tasteless and lukewarm. My dish seemed like mushed up baby food, and I always thought pilau rice was supposed to be yellow, not white. The only good thing were the poppadoms, but you can't really go wrong with them. The portion sizes were small and the menu was overpriced. I wish I had taken photos of the minuscule piece of cod, the hard onion bhajis, and the tiny desserts. Make sure to check the prices online before dining here. The service wasn't very friendly either.
I have never seen a restaurant where everyone is sitting with their coats on, it is so cold in there. Does the staff not see that people are dressed as if they are outside? There was only one little heater on the wall, which didn't do much to warm the place up. This made the meal very unpleasant. Hopefully, they will take note and make the place warmer or they will lose customers until the summer. The food was tasty, but the portions are smaller and have less meat than before COVID. That seems to be the norm now.
Never had a bad meal hear , nice friendly place , and always enjoy the food , and I live right over the other side of town . I’ve read the reviews today and seen some from lockdown that didn’t give good review, But not many done very good food as everyone was so busy . So it’s understandable. Don’t let that put you off normally amazing place and with great food . Lee
Excellent Indian Restaurant Takeaway. Consistently good quality food. Have been using for several years now and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Best Indian in Ipswich.
