Din Tai Fung - Suite C Montrose

Everything is delicious...the only detail is that the food arrives in parts...it would be very good...if it arrived all at once...

Arrived at 8:30 with no reservations. Waited about 1 hour for a table to open up. The check-in process was very efficient and you 'll get a text when the table is ready. This location is in a mall so you can kill an hour easily. We were sat outside but it felt cozy with heaters and covered/private even though it is right next to Central Ave. (A main thoroughfare). Service was quick, friendly and efficient. You can fill out your own order on the slip provided, and then a server will review it with you to make sure you get what you want. They were great about communicating how the trays will be brought out, since they bring them out in stages to make sure you get them warm and fresh. Everything was fresh and tasty. We ordered 2 trays of soup dumplings, green beans, potstickers plus a lychee green tea. Also the special sticky rice cooked in a taro leaf. So yummy. A for food and service. It was very busy and a bit loud so the atmosphere for me is nice, but no so chill. Still a solid B . Give it a try. You 'll have a good time. Try something new.

This is by far my favorite restaurant. Loved the new location, bigger. Food as delicious as always. Love everything I have ever gotten They do not honor the Americana valet anymore just FYI.

Will not rate the food because we never got to it, my son took me the day before Mothers Day I was visiting from the East Coast. I have never experienced such rude racism in my life ! We stood up waiting for 45 minutes to be called . My legs were hurting so we decided to sit at the bar and order drinks while we wait . Was told we can’t sit there w/o a reservation . Really ? The bar? So we left and so did a few other people after seeing how rude we were treated! Never again !

Alvin is the king here with regards to organization, knowledge and politeness. He was not our assigned server but was covering BUT he deserved all the cash as gratitude in my wallet. Derek, Romy Jordan were excellent as well. The food is amazing as expected, this is our first time in the Glendale, Ca store. We live very close to the Century City branch, Sophie who appears to be some sort of a supervisor checked in on us couple of times and made sure everything is good. I will surely spread the word thru traditional and digital ways how great our experience was.Every member of the staff were truly amazing! Suggestion for the bathroom tho, they should just do spot clean and not a blocked clean during the very busy times like dinner time on a Friday. We had to get out of the unfamiliar part of the mall to use the restroom and wash hands because it was blocked for cleaning for 30 minutes. My son has egg allergy that is severe and we were assisted very well with that. Some forget the jasmine tea, mega hit ! We requested for a bench seating for four and was greatly accommodated since we have special needs. THANK YOU again!
