Toby Carvery Barnes Park - Sunderland

The Carvery was disappointing, the service was slow but welcomed such a shame. The meat was nice but very thin cut, the filling was bland, the puddings also blande and the fryings were greasy

We absolutely adore Toby Restaurant in Barnes, Sunderland. We visit there frequently because we love it so much. The Sunday dinner is consistently delicious, and the service is top-notch. It's simply fantastic.

The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious, with a wide variety of options and served piping hot. The staff are hard-working, with a special shoutout to Brooke who is friendly and attentive without being overly over-the-top.

The food was tasty, but the soda was overpriced and lacking in carbonation.

Warm welcome on arrival, shown to a seat and offered and alternative table near the window, which we accepted. Presented with menus and given time to choose, offered drinks and we decided water with our meal, water with a piece of lime in was brought and we were shown the way to the carvery( we have been there before but the layout was changed a bit There was no queue and the chef on duty was attentive, the selection of vegetables was wonderful (we did mention in our review that the vegetables were not very hot? but the Turkey was succulent and veg. very tasty. We like the Carvery where we can get as much, or as little, to satisfy our appetite really enjoyed the meal !!
