Pepper lunch is one of those childhood food places I always remember from my childhood in asia and this definitely tastes like my memories! The only thing is that the price is definitely higher than my memories still worth it imho though. My one gripe is that the ordering screens can lag and become unresponsive a couple of times during the order process and can be frustrating. Also, may I suggest a hand sanitizer next to the screens please?
First time here, meals came out fairly quickly and was okay to eat. I added extra sauce to get a bit more flavour out of them. The restaurant itself looked like they were doing a major cleanup so was untidy and there was no music etc so was rather quote and awkward especially since it was just us and have 2 staff
Will NEVER come back again! Ordered salad with chicken, spaghetti and another dish. Cucumber in the salad was mouldy! Unbelievable!! I told the staff and he mentioned Will change the whole plate. Then the spaghetti was served. BUT the pasta wad in small pieces. How long it was boiled for Please!? Taste nothing but super strong pepper flavour. The other dish was average. After my family finished their dish, the salad just ready While we were rushed to leave. I asked for a take away container for the salad. After getting home found salad still not fresh by taste, and chicken had tons of pepper. 4 star for the servic. -3 star for the food.
I recently won a pair of Pepper Lunch keyrings and took advantage of the January offer for keyring holders. These have recently changed to different $10 deals on the 10th of each month, and January’s was for $10 single meat sizzling curries normally $13). We had a chicken and a beef, plus ordered a pepper salad $8.90 to accompany our mains. Ordering the specials has to be done by a staff member, and somewhere along the way my intention to have my beef curry with hot curry and wifey’s chicken curry with mild curry got mixed up. My meal came first and I didn’t realise until after I’d poured my curry over my food, so we ended up both having mild. It’s been a while since my last Pepper Lunch experience and I enjoyed the return visit, especially now that I know you can customise the pepper level I find the default levels too peppery). I got the large rice option $1.50) on wifey’s meal so that she could share her no-pepper dish with the boy, though it turns out the normal size would’ve been sufficient. Hopefully there will be a different dish on offer every month so I can work my way through the menu
