Contribuer aux commentairesThe staff is very friendly and helped us compose a wonderful dinner. We had a refreshing salad as a starter, a tasty curry, the caramelized pork and some marvelous duck together with a tassy wine. Best cuisine we had down under so far!
We had a party of 30 and the food, staff drinks were pulled off without a hitch. I will come again next visit to Sydney
You sit at large tables, next to other guests and you can order a number of dishes that you can share with your group. Food was nice, but value for money it was a bit too expensive for what you got. Very friendly service.
Longrain has been around since around 2000 and I used to go quite regularly. No particular reason, but hadn't been for 5 or more years. That's my problem as we went with friends before a show and had an excellent couple of hours early on a Saturday night. The service was exceptional, the wine list is a cut above many other higher end Sydney restaurants with plenty of acceptably priced (by Sydney standards!) $50 - $60 alternatives. On the food front, there's plenty of old favourites - the egg net, the pork hock, betel leaves (with scollops), tamarind fried snapper and the piece de resistance for us - the braised veal shoulder. Won't be five years before we're back.
Our first time hereAt first we were taken aback by the seating.
